摘要：The article deals with conception analysis as a meth-odological category. Basing upon conceptions popu-lar in the Republic the author shows their strong and weak points. In this regard he considers a question of conception efficiency assessment criteria. As the most appropriate criterion of the conception's meth-odological relevance determination the author sug-gests potestarity. A term, borrowed fromthe psychol-ogy, is interpreted as a capability and possibility of the conception to gain power by multiplying effectiveness of the efforts
