摘要：Este trabajo analiza, en primer lugar, la relación entre la presencia de capital extranjero en la propiedad de las empresas y la propensión a innovar y, en segundo lugar, la influencia del grado de concentración de dicha propiedad en el nivel de innovación. Para ello se realiza un estudio empírico de 1.267 empresas espa.olas, entre 1998-2002. Los resultados revelan que la presencia de capital extranjero incide negativamente en la propensión a innovar. Además, los resultados muestran una relación no lineal entre el nivel de concentración y la obtención de nuevos productos; observándose que sólo cuando los accionistas extranjeros tienen el control, su participación incide positivamente en la innovación
其他摘要：The aims of this work are to analyze the relationship between the existence of foreign investors' ownership on the firm and the firm's innovation probability, and to examine the influence of the foreign ownership on the level of firm's innovation. To that end, an empirical study was conducted of 1267 Spanish industrial firms in the 1998-2002 period. The results reveal that the existence of foreign owners has a negative effect on firm's innovation probability. Moreover, when the level of foreign ownership is considered the results shown that the foreign ownership concentration present a non-linear (-/+) relationship with the level of firm's innovation
