摘要：THISpaper analyses the media coverage of the latest con.ict between Is-rael and Palestine which took place between the 27thof December 2008until the 18thof January 20091. It was chosen as it is a war generally widelyreported by the media around the world and therefore it can be quite useful inthe discussion of global crisis reporting which is what this paper intends to en-gage. The main question this study proposes to answer is regarding the globalaspect of Israeli-Palestinian con.ict. Which elements seen in media reportsand in historical and economical relations make Palestine a global crisis. Inaddition to that, this paper also does a framing analysis on the discourse usedby two (considered) opposite channels, the CNN and the English version ofAl-Jazeera, during the coverage of the con.ict in order to complement andsupport the points of view expressed
