摘要：AbstractConcerning the defense of human rights, in Romania there are several instruments in this sense: the Romanian Ombudsman institution at national level and European Ombudsman institution in the European Union level.The activity of the two institutions is conducted ex officio or at the request of persons who claim that their rights have been violated by officials or government authorities.Ombudsman exercises an administrative control mechanism similar to that which enables control of public authorities at national level by the Ombudsman in most EU member countries.
