  • 摘要:Glutamine Synthetase fro m Bacillus brevis Bb G1was purified from p yruvate grown cells(GSpyr).The effect of ligandson the tryptophan fluorescence of the purified enzyme GSpyrwasinvestigated.With increasing concentrations of L-glutamine or glycine in GSpyr, a shift in emission maximum, change in fluorescence intensity and change in life timeswere observed compared to the emission maximum,fluorescence intensity and life times of GSp yr. These observationsstrongly support the possibility that GSpyr undergoes a conformational change on binding with ligands and each ligandproduced differentconformational changes in GSpyr.Also,different concentrations of each ligand produced differentprotein conformations in theenzymeGSpyr
