摘要:Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network of distributed sensors that can collect information from a physical environment. The sensor nodes can communicate among themselves using radio signals. A wireless sensor node is equipped with sensing and computing devices, a radio transceiver and power components .After the sensor nodes are deployed, they are responsible for self-organizing an appropriate network often with multi-hop connections between them. Therefore, energy conservation becomes crucial for sustaining a sufficiently long network lifetime. The basic target behind the design of WSN is to sustain the network for the required mission. Routing in wireless sensor networks differs from routing in fixed networks in various ways: there is no infrastructure, wireless links are unreliable, sensor nodes may fail, and routing protocols have to meet strict energy saving requirements. Many routing protocols have been proposed for WSN and power efficiency is a major issue in network. Therefore, focus has been given to the routing protocols for maximize the life time of wireless sensor network. In this paper we present a survey on power efficient hierarchical routing protocols in Wireless Sensor Network. Firstly, we outline the design challenges and then routing techniques for WSN. We have also highlighted the drawbacks of routing protocols. Finally, we provide a comparative study on these routing protocols
