摘要：As the information in the web world is growing rapidly. It is difficult to retrieve relevant information. In this context search engines has become a valuable tool for user to retrieve relevant information. Search engine use Information Retrieval System and Genetic Algorithm to retrieve relevant information. Finding relevant information according to user's need is still a challenge. In this paper cosine and Horng & Yeh similarity Function is used to increase the efficiency of Information Retrieval System. Horng and Yeh similarity Function is applied using Genetic Algorithm to retrieve relevant information
