摘要:The accuracy requirement during the design of electrical machines encourages the need of finite element method (FEM). In this paper, the co ncept of chamfering (geometrical alteration of Mover) of LIM is introduce. Adaptive Finite Element Technique sis applied to both Simple Linear Induction Motor (SLIM) and the proposed chamfered Linear Induction Motor (CLIM) model. All the Thrust Governing parameters like, Magnetic Flux Density, Surface Current Density, Lorentz Forces etc. are computed by simulating the both the models in one of the latest FEM tool. The meshing of the geometries is done by selecting quadrilateral shape elements for two -dimensional Analysis. The results may yield more element area ratio which may further help to provide more accurate analysis of various electromagnetic characteristics of model. The simulation results were compared and validated with the existing SLIM model
