摘要：This study presents morphological characteristics evaluation of European beech root system five years after afforestation of permanent plots situated near Trutnov and Zlaté hory. When preparing planting stock for outplanting, it was treated with different fertilizer doses and afterwards evaluated on the basis of these characteristics: architectural trait of root system, root system deformations, number of strong roots in various distances from the root axis, number of strong roots below 25 cm depth, ratio of strong roots diameter average sum to root system, and ratio between roots and above-ground parts development. Research results show that cultivars from intensive nursery technologies that are the subjected to different fertilizer doses application grow further with no secondary deformation.
