摘要：In order to study the potential to improve silver fir forest health, 20 provenance research plots were established in the former Czechoslovakia between 1973 and 1977. The results presented in this paper include an evaluation of 15 provenances on research plot No. 53 - Konopiště, Mrač (Central Bohemia), for the first 35 years. Two of the provenances originated in what is now the Czech Republic, while the remaining 13 provenances came from Slovakia. We evaluated progenies of 15 trees in each provenance. Total height and DBH parameters were measured, while mean stem volume and mean stem growing stock per hectare were derived from yield tables. We visually assessed stem form and health status. Differences between each provenance´s growth and characteristics of individual trees´progenies have been analysed. We evaluated variation in volume, growth and yield based on categories of nature forest regions, climatypes, and European forest zoning and were able to identify superior provenances.
