摘要:Artificial planting has still been an important regeneration method used to increase proportion of European beech in tree species composition. Moreover, containerized planting stock has an advantage even under extreme site conditions. As far as root system of containerized stock is concerned, there is a risk of insufficiently developed roots when intensive nursery methods including application of slowly-soluble fertilizer are used. The article deals with both growth and health of containerized beech stock. The experiment was designed as 4 variants of diversely fertilized substrates and control stock treated with foliar dressing before planting. In addition to health and growth, the study was focused on root system analysis. Despite different fertilization, there were found no significant differences in survival among variants and even intensive fertilization did not lead to more frequent occurrence of root deformation in 4 years after planting.
