- 摘要：La construcción patrimonial del rock en Chile ha sido realizada por los críticos de rock a partir del desarrollo de sus vertientes críticas y progresivas de la segunda mitad de los años sesenta. Estas vertientes ha sido entendidas como una forma de oposición a la corriente comercial representada por la Nueva Ola. Sin embargo, no se ha avanzado demasiado en reconocer el impacto que el rock and roll produjo entre la juventud chilena de mediados de los años cincuenta, canalizando la construcción de una actitud rebelde y crítica hacia una sociedad que los ignoraba. Mediante la comparación del modo en que el rock se ha incorporado en América Latina a la memoria de la nación, este artículo pretende expandir el conocimiento y valoración del rock en Chile hacia los años cincuenta, enfatizando su práctica entre los chilenos.

According to the rock critics, the beginnings of Chilean rock may be traced to the starting of its critical and progressive trends of the mid sixties, which are understood as oppositional against the commercial trend of the Nueva Ola (new wave). However, we have not went further in recognizing the impact of rock and roll on the Chilean youth of the mid fifties, influencing them in their building of a rebellious and critical attitude towards a society which have ignored them. Focusing on the way rock have been integrated in Latin America to different national heritages, this article intends to expand the knowledge and valuation of the early rock and roll in Chile, stressing its practice among the Chileans.
