摘要：The second meeting of the Lyssavirus Expert Group washeld on 3 December 1996. The group reviewed new infor-mati on on the virus. This included the first identificationof lyssavirus in an insectivorous bat. A yellow-belliedsheathtail bat, Saccolaimus flaviventris, was found on theground and unable to fly, near Toowoomba, Queensland.Following euthanasia, the animal was found to have anon-suppurative encephal itis on histopathology and waslyssavirus positive by immunofluorescence
