摘要:Forest research should be based on the computer-assisted statistical data analysis. At present, a progress of both new methods and software provides full service for researcher. This paper is focused on a detailed description of the computerized interactive statistical analysis of an one-dimensional data. Application of these methods is demonstrated on two examples (large and small sample) from a silvicultural discipline. A special attention is paid to exploratory data analysis. From the results it can be concluded that Box-Cox transformation and following calculation of re-transformed mean was suitable procedure for asymmetrically distributed data in a case of large sample. Concerning small sample, the Horn procedure leads to correct results in comparison with classical methods. Therefore, we suppose wide scope of activity of both techniques in a silviculture discipline.
