摘要:This article deals with comparison of Norway spruce (Picea abies /L./ Karst.) plantations established with the use of bare-rooted planting stock cultivated from the seed of the 7th forest altitudinal vegetation zone origin (FAVZ 7 - spruce with beech site) and plantations established with the use of containerized planting stock cultivated from the seed originating from both FAVZ 7 and FAVZ 8 (spruce site). The 5-year-old plantations are situated in the Krušné hory Mts. (altitude 920 m a.s.l., forest site type 7K3 - spruce with beech forest on acidic site). Analyzed were 11 above-ground parameters and traits and 7 root system parameters and traits. The results indicate that all studied variants of the planting stock have a good prerequisite to grow under mountain conditions. However, the planting stock originating from FAVZ 8 used at the upper boundary of FAVZ 7 shows considerably better growth parameters and morphological quality of the above-ground part than the planting stock originating from FAVZ 7 (e.g. planting stock originating from FAVZ 8 has total height of above-ground part over 34 cm higher than planting stock originating from FAVZ 7).
