摘要:Since 1953 hydrological effects of forest have been investigated in the catchment Červík in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts. Also influence of forest regeneration on water run-off and water balance has been studied. No significant impact of logging and silviculture was proved on water run-offs both for minimal flows and for culmination during enhanced discharges. Relationship between precipitation and run-offs is very tight and together with orographic and soil conditions reduce the possible influence of forest stands on run-offs. Forest is not able to prevent from floods during extreme precipitation, but its principal importance is during lower precipitation when surface run-off is transformed to subsurface one.
