摘要：This article deals with the effect of different technological procedures in cone extraction and seed processing on germination and damage of resin vesicles of silver fir (Abies alba) seeds. The lowest germination and the most damage to the resin vesicles were observed for seeds obtained from cones crushed by foot. Germination of manually extracted seeds was significantly higher compared to seeds extracted mechanically regardless if the seeds were obtained from disintegrated or intact cones. The slight insignificant decline in germination and increase in resin vesicle damage was followed step by step during the mechanical extraction processing (extraction, de-winging and cleaning). The results show an importance of careful manipulation of silver fir cones before and during extraction and processing.
