摘要：During 2008 and 2009, paclobutrazole (phytohormone) spray and water stress treatments were done to induce flowering in 3-year-old graftings and cuttings of pedunculate oak (Quercus robur). In 2009, 2-year-old Q.°virgiliana and Q.°pubescens graftlings were included in the tests as well. The aim was to obtain early flowering in these oaks. Three treatments were used, i.e. paclobutrazole (phytohormone) spray, water stress and paclobutrazole spray in combination with water stress. Control treatments plants received only irrigation water as needed. One year after treatment neither paclobutrazole nor water stress alone affected flower induction. After 2 years, only male flowers occurred in the grafted-plants both in the water stress and paclobutrazole treatments. One year after treatment the plants in the control treatment flowered.
