摘要：The article summarises the preliminary time records yielded during the planting of bare-rooted large-sized planting stock (saplings) on mountain sites. Mean time required to plant one sapling by one worker amounts to approximately 6.5 minutes. This time includes the delivery of sapling and support pole to a planting site, grass sward (turf) removing, digging a planting hole, planting of tree, driving a pole into the ground, and fixation of a tree to the support pole. One worker is able to plant approx. 45 saplings per one day, if the effective time of active work represents cca 5 hours a day work shift (rest time, transport to a remote work place and back, and other unavailability time shortened the effective work time in the shift). If the common wage costs amount to 150 CZK (including all taxes and payments) and the entire eight-hour shift is considered, the work planting costs of one sapling are approx. 27 CZK (1.1 EUR).
