摘要：The analysis of 15 seed lots originating from Canada and the Czech Republic showed a positive response of all experimental seed lots of both interior and coastal Douglas fir to three weeks of cold stratification without medium after 48-hour hydration and subsequent surface drying. Seven variants were tested in order to find an optimum method of the pre-sowing treatment, which differed in the treatment duration (21, resp. 30 days) and in the mode (with/without medium). Untreated seeds served as a control. Soaking in water did not increase the germinating capacity. The treatment with hydrogen peroxide increased only germination energy but the germination capacity was lower than in the control. Results of stratification with/without medium for 21, resp. 30 days were comparable. Without the cold stratification, the seed potential cannot be fully utilized.
