摘要：The Jizerka experimental plot was established to investigate prosperity of 30 tree species under conditions of formerly air-polluted mountainous site, the Jizera Mts. (North Bohemia). Tree species perform depending on their vigor, inherited abilities and response to environmental conditions. Among all properties of site, climate is a principal factor influencing both growth rate and survival of the tree species. Therefore, meteorological conditions have been investigated since 1993 within the experiment which was established in 1990. Since 1996, climatic characteristics have been investigated using automatic loggers. Mean annual precipitation was 1 135 mm in the period of 1994 – 2010. The precipitation was found lower and the temperature higher compared to expected range of values in literature. Height of snow cover varied greatly. In the 2004 – 2005 and 2005 – 2006 periods, the height of snow cover exceeded 200 cm which affected the trees (pine, spruce, larch and birch) negatively. The load of snow yanked branches out of the stems and broke the tops of the trees. Coincidence of both high air temperature and low precipitation can threaten the plantations with drought.
