摘要:Eighteen biomass functions were tested for Norway spruce (Picea abies /L./ KARST.) from the Orlické Mountains (Czech Republic). Empirical data obtained by the destructive analysis of 9 spruce trees originated from 3 stands of different age (17, 49, and 135 years) were the comparative base for models evaluation. Average dry weight of wood was 42.87 kg for young trees, 107.57 kg for middle-aged trees and 510.97 kg for old trees; dry weight of bark was 13 kg, 30.9 kg, and 80.03 kg; dry weight of needles was 8.7 kg, 26.2 kg, and 49.8 kg respectively. Empirical biomass data were compared with results of biomass functions. Two approaches were employed: (1) trees were divided into 3 groups according to the age, and biomass models were evaluated for particular groups separately; (2) biomass models were evaluated for all trees together without regard to the age. The models 1 (Laitat) and 15 (Brække 2) fit best the empirical biomass data of young spruce trees, the models 13 (Snorrason) and 15 (Brække 2) give the most accurate results for middle-aged trees, and the models 11 (Poeppel) and 14 (Brække 1) show the best fit for the old trees. The models 13 (Snorrason) and 14 (Brække 1) are the most suitable for the biomass assessment without regard to the tree age.
