Since mobile nodes in a mobile ad hoc network (MANET) may spread in an arbitrary manner, one of the fundamental issues in such a network is the linkage problem among mobile nodes. In this paper, we analyze the linkage stability for special cases in mobile ad hoc network based on Markov jump theory. We find that if some conditions are satisfied, the solutions for the proposed linkage models are almost surely exponentially stable. Some examples are described to illuminate our theoretic results.
