摘要：In his last column as ASIS&T president, Dillon recognizes theenduring work and continual progress of the Association through itstransitions. Each year leaders with shared hopes and plans for theorganization continue efforts started in previous years while addingnew initiatives. An example is the name change to the Associationfor Information Science and Technology, the result of many leaders'deliberation and persistent effort to demonstrate global reach. Newerdrives focus on active outreach to other parts of the world byseeking potential members through their native language and bycommitting to hold an Annual Meeting outside North America in thenear future. In its ongoing effort to be recognized as a leadingcontributor to information science, the Association continues toenhance its web presence, build partnerships and help studentmembers connect with chapters and progress as professionals.Progress continues, the result of good fortune and the valuedcontributions of many supporters
