  • 摘要:In this study, the pri maryobjective wasto ascertain what factors motivate lecturersof private universities in Ghana. It also soughtto determinewhether these employees perceive the moti vating factors as readily available to them or not.The study examined the ranked importance of moti vational factors of uni versity lecturers.Using descriptive survey, data was collected and anal ysed in terms of descriptive statisti cs.Findings suggest high salaryand personal developmentare the main motivatingfactors of university lecturers. Carefully designed reward systems that include high salary, opportunity f or personal devel opment, fringe benefits, and non-monetary compensation should be considered
