摘要：Meningococcal disease is characterised by a rapid onset and, on rare occasions, death. Because these deaths are often sudden and usually affect young people they are often publicised and cause alarm within the community. Here we review the epidemiology of meningococcal disease cases notified in NSW since 1991.
