摘要:Awareness of the benefits of environ-mentally sustainable health care is growing. In theUnited Kingdom in 2010, an educational inter-vention on sustainable health care was success-fully delivered to public health registrars. Weconducted a feasibility study to test the interven-tion in Australia. Methods: The interventionconsisted of a 1-day workshop delivered face-to-face covering climate change, sustainabilityand health. The workshop was modified, pilotedand then delivered to 33 health professio-nals. Modifications included using Australianresources, introducing active learning exercisesand including guest speakers. Delivery by video-conference was trialled. Outcomes were assessedin three areas – awareness, advocacy and action –using questionnaires and follow-up telephoneinterviews. Results: There were improvementsin participants' mean awareness and advocacyscores. All participants rated sustainability as'important' for health professionals andmany looked to their professional organisationto take a lead advocacy role on this issue.Discussion: This study demonstrated that theworkshop is feasible for use in Australia; themodifications and delivery by videoconferencewere well received
