摘要:Records management (RM) professionals have beenchallenged to manage electronic data for sometime. Their efforts have tended to focus on un-structured data, such as documents, scanned im-ages, and spreadsheets. Recently, structured dataheld in databases has also come under closescrutiny, especially during discovery. However, there is a third category of data that tends tobe overlooked. This type of data lies between unstructuredand structured data and is a result of the explosion in Web2.0 technologies (e.g., blogs, wikis, web pages, activityfeeds). The temptation is to call this "semi-structureddata," but the database world already owns that term; forthe sake of clarity we will call it "social data."
