摘要：Precarious employment is anincreasingly common term used tohighlight labour market insecurity.In Canada, precarious employmentnormally involves those forms ofwork involving atypicalemployment contracts, limited socialbenefits and statutory entitlements,job insecurity, low job tenure, lowwages and high risks of ill health.Precarious employment is shaped bytendencies in late capitalismwhereby employers usesubcontracting and other strategiesto minimise labour costs and therebylower the bottom of the labourmarket.
