摘要:The growth of precariousemployment relationships describedin this issue of Just Labour raises arange of bargaining and policyissues (Vosko, Zukewich andCranford 2003; Fudge, this issue).Many of the daily concerns ofworkers in precarious employmentrelationships centre on the issues ofstress and health. This articlereports on our investigation into therelationship between health and theunique organisation of precariousemployment. In 2002-2003, wedesigned and conducted anEmployment Strain and HealthSurvey with over 400 workers inprecarious employmentrelationships in Ontario. Thepreliminary analysis and findingsthat we discuss here haveimplications for contracts,bargaining, workplace health andsafety and broader social policy
