摘要:Restructuring Work and Labour in the New Economy (RWL-INE) is analliance of academic researchers and trade union partners involving eighteenscholars from ten universities working from the perspective of ten disciplines,eight union-based collaborators, and eleven trade union representatives fromprivate and public sector unions and federations of labour. The PrincipalInvestigator of this SSHRC-funded grant, under the Initiatives on the NewEconomy programme, is Professor Norene Pupo, Director of the Centre forResearch on Work and Society (www.yorku.ca/crws). The mandate of the Alliance is to study the social, political, and economictransformations associated with the new economy, to examine the institutionaladjustments to the shifts occurring within the Canadian context due toglobalization, and to explore the impact of thee adjustments on the social andcultural experience of work. The goal is to direct new knowledge from thisresearch toward changes in work structures and in policy-making in order toimprove the quality and conditions of work and community life. Researchers Wallace Clement, Andrew Jackson, and Linda Briskin are allmembers of the Restructuring Work and Labour in the New Economy Alliance.Their research featured in this issue of Just Labour has been funded through theRWL-INE.
