The main objective of this paper is to determine and explain the extent and intensity of traditionalism, nationalism, authoritarianism among middle class (professionals, on one side, and small entrepreneurs and lower managers, on the other) in Serbia in the 1989-2012 period. Besides, in the paper we try to describe different social and demographic factors that determine these value orientations in the given period. Traditionalism, nationalism, authoritarianism operationalized by a set of empirical statements, presented by the Likert type scale. The analysis will be based on the data collected within two research projects: the Changes in the Class Structure and Mobility in Serbia in 1989, The South-East European Social Survey Project in 2003. and Challenges of the new social integration in Serbia: Concepts and actors” in 2012, conducted by the Institute for Sociological Research of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.
