摘要：People approach writing from a traditional point of viewbecause the very term writing implies letters into words, wordsinto sentences, and sentences into paragraphs. We propose thatthere are many forms of writing and traditional writing is only oneof them. Scientists write formulas and draw molecular representa-tions. Musicians compose using musical scores. Mathematicianswrite equations and construct geometric drawings. Choreographersuse the system of labanotation to record movement. The mostobvious to us is the drawing of images, which we believe to oneof the most primal forms of human language.
