标题：Croatian scientific and professional journals from the domain of biotechnological sciences in bibliographic and citated data bases Web of Science and Scopus

摘要：Secondary sources of information are unavoidable in evaluation of scientific paper or in the title advancement. Journal indexation in citation databases is crucial for scientists and for editors of journals indexed in significant databases to achieve finacial support of Ministry of science, education and sport. Aim and purpose of paper is showing indexation of Croatian scientific and professional journals in citated databases Web of Science and Scopus. Method of the paper is bibliometric analysis, respectively data comparison concerning number of journals in databases Web of Science and Scopus, their analysis due to scientific field, language indexation in some articles of the journals, year of indexation, impact factor, h-index of individual authors in best rated journals in JCR database and due to indexing of foreign authors in individual journals. According to bibliometric results, 62 Croatian scientific and professional journals, including 6 from biotechnological fields are indexed in three citation index of Web of Science. In papers of domestic journals from biotechnological field indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded dominates English language. The highest amount of processed units belongs to Croatian authors, while more than two third is signed by foreign authors. According to data of Journal Citation Reports, The Science Edition for 2011, in the group of biotechnological journals, Food Technology and Biotechnology has the highest impact factor (1,195). At the beginning of 2013, 120 Croatian scientific and professional journals from all fields and 32 from biotechnological fields were indexed in Scopus. Food Technology and Biotechnology ranks highest following SJR indicator (0,492), according to SC Imago Journal & Country Rank portal for 2011 that included 116 Croatian journals.
