An agrological study was performed in Finca La Sirena (LS) using geographical informational systems (GIS) and the software ArcGIS 9.3 for the survey. The soil sampling was carried out in a grid design with geo-referenced points every 100 m and physical and chemical soil analyses, as well as water quality analyses, were conducted. Field observations were made in a modal profile built in a cross section of the farm. Different land uses were determined and inventory of predominant flora was conducted. The land capacity was determined according to the methodology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) resulting in a Class II land. The information collected was analyzed with the geostatistical spatial interpolation using the Kriging linear and the Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) method for synthesizing and presenting the information in current dynamic digital maps.
