摘要：In this study, we use a generalized and extended form of a two sector economic growth model in order to capture the effect of social capital on economic growth during the 1966- 2007 period in Iran. It investigate the effect of social capital on economic growth of Iran in the long run and the short run using the auto-regressive distribution lag model .the results obtained from the estimation of the model under study are indicative of positive and significant effect of social capital on economic growth of Ira n in the long run, although in the short run hadn't a significant effect. Thus it is hoped that the results obtained from this study can attract the attention of authorities to develop and improve social capital the country
