摘要：Bu araştırmada, ARCS Motivasyon Modeli’nin öğrencilerin matematiğe yönelik motivasyonlarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bunun için bu öğretim yaklaşımı, 2001-2002 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ankara il merkezindeki bir ilköğretim okulunda okuyan 7. sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada, deney grubuna ARCS Motivasyon Modeli, kontrol grubuna ise geleneksel matematik öğretim yöntemleri 4 hafta süreyle uygulanmıştır. Motivasyon testi, öntest ve sontest olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın hipotezini test etmek için bağımsız t-testi kullanılmıştır. Son test sonuçları, deney ve kontrol grupları arasında matematiğe yönelik motivasyonları bakımından anlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığını göstermektedir
其他摘要：In this research, the effect of the ARCS Motivation Model upon the students’ motivation towards mathematics was investigated. Therefore, ARCS Motivation Model was applied to 7th grade students at a middle school in Ankara at 2001-2002 terms. In research, experimental group studied ARCS Motivation Model, on the other hand the control group received traditionally designed mathematics instruction over 4 weeks. Motivation test was developed and used as a pre and post test. Independent-samples ttest was used for testing the hypothesis of the research. Post test results showed that experimental group and the control group did not differ significantly on motivation towards mathematics
