摘要：Disinvestment, the colossal weapon and instrument in the hands of Government of India has enabled the public sector to improve its efficiency and to become more responsible as well as accountable to the public, for that matter the nation a lot. But unfortunately, the proceeds of the Disinvestment were not flown properly towards the further development of the country through productive activities. So a modest attempt has been made in the present paper to test the same through the conceptual frame-work as well as the trends, targets, achievements, utilization and impact of Disinvestment on Indian Economy
