Global governance does not achieve the expected results and instability and crises are recurring. The power relations in the international system are changing in an accelerated way. The lack of predictability weakens the relations of cooperation and hinders the agreement about global public goods. The threats and risks have also internationalized, and as such new conceptual maps which allow the understanding of the transformations and the transit towards a post-Western and post-hegemonic world are required. At the same time, the new global context presents diverse challenges for a more integrated Latin America – with socio-economic advances – but in which a variety of problems and pending tasks survive.
