摘要:Since 1992, the presidential campaigns have published their positions on health care in scholarly medical journals. Over the same time period, we have learned that claims by experts are imperfect [1]. Regarding experts in health care, specific deficiencies include claims lagging behind research findings [2], failure to cite prior research [2, 3], and inaccurate representation of prior research [4]. All of these have been associated with claims that contradict evidence [2–4].
