摘要:Protection of plants at the time since lifting to planting from drying and excessive temperatures is essential for maintaining their physiological quality. In spring 2011, the transplants of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) were deliberately exposed to specific weather conditions (desiccation) for 60 and 120 minutes. Subsequently, they were planted on shaded and unprotected bed. It was established that the roots lost their water 3 to 4 times faster than the above ground parts. Drying before planting caused a significant delay of bud flushing, both in the first and in the second year after planting. Improper handling significantly increased mortality in the first and second year after planting, especially on unshielded bed. Compared with control (no-stress conditions) seedlings, the significant reduction of the thickness and height growth was observed in both years. On a shaded bed the smaller influence of drying was observed.
