摘要:This paper attempts to examine biograph ical consequences and costs of growing up i n an alcoholic home and to scrutini ze the development of biographical identity of an adult wom-an (Natalia) who l ives with conviction that as a teenager she "dared" to bring i nto question the "normality" of her own family when escapi ng the collective a lcoholic trajectory of her family through attempting suicide and entering a ch ildren's home. Con sequently, she is stil l guilt-ridden si nce she feel s responsible for destroying the facade of a (false a nd illusionary) positive fami ly image and for being the one who managed to get out of the collective trajecto-ry of suffering. On the basis of the concept of "betrayal fun nel," as described by Erving Goff-man, it is shown that Natal ia was sort of "framed" i n "reversed betrayal fun nel" by a school psychologist – who probably intended to help but her activities turned out badly in the long run. Furthermore, it is argued that her subjective definition of the course of events in her life results not only i n a (subliminal) nagging sense of guilt (strengthened by a negative "me" image created by her fami ly) and her obsessive responsibil ity for her parents and siblings but – in spite of a ful filling a nd meaningful life – it still impedes all her attempts to work the trajectory potential through. Th is has a strong in fluence on her current world of everyday existence, her personal identity, and biograph ical orientation
