摘要:Scientists began to favor systematicreviews in the 1990s as a means ofovercoming some of the limitationsof classic review articles. The Co-chrane Collaboration defines sys-tematic reviews as a form of syn-thesis that examines a predefinedquestion or issue using systematic,explicit methods to identify the listof studies to be included, criticallyappraise and filter the research, andcollect data from these studies togenerate a replicable review [1]. Inspite of their growing popularity inthe medical community and thefrequent involvement of librariansin their creation, librarians seem tohave been slow to take completeadvantage of this important tool tofurther their own profession
