摘要：The study gathered data about librarians' member-ship in institutional animal care and use committees(IACUCs) and their professional activities supportinganimal researchers. Libraries affiliated with medicalschools that were members of the Association ofAmerican Medical Colleges were surveyed. A surveywas distributed via library directors' email discussionlists and direct email messages. Sixty surveys werecompleted: 35 (58%) reported that librariansperformed database searches for researchers, and 22(37%) reported that a librarian currently serves on theIACUC. The survey suggests that academic healthsciences librarians provide valuable, yet underutilized,services to support animal research investigators
