摘要:At the meeting of the Medical Library Association held in Chicago, June 19, 1933, the Committee on the Cost of Current Medical Periodicals reported that Medical Libraries throughout the country had suffered reductions in budgets, and were faced with probable further reductions in the next few years. The Committee's investigation showed further that approximately two-thirds of the total annual appropriation for current medical periodicals in the average medical library was expended for German periodicals. Due to curtailment in budgets many libraries were faced with the necessity of dropping their subscriptions to these expensive journals.
