摘要：Before passing judgement on a book, a reviewer should endeavor to ascertain the purpose in the mind of the author which determined his selection of subjects and the manner of their presentation. This book is not for the medical student. It is not systematic enough, and the emphasis on various subjects is too uneven for the beginner. Many subjects are passed over very rapidly and others are considered in great detail.
