摘要:This brochure, which was published for the first time in 1943, has beenrevised by the author to make it even more helpful to students in medicine than was the original edition. The plan is to give the student, through the "Story of Medical Literature" in Part One, a survey of the development of medical writing and incidentally of medicine itself; in Part Two to describe and explain some of the fundamental parts of a medical library;- and in a final section to give actual exercises in the use of the library. This manual could well be used by other librarians, just as it stands, or as a basis for similar outlines or manuals for use with students.
