摘要:After a life time of cataloging, a cataloger is apt to apply cataloging practices to almost any task, be it the preparation of a holiday dinner or the reading of a book. This review reflects, therefore, an opinion of Technical Services in Libraries judged as a cataloging project. It considers the scope of the information presented, its arrangement, and the approaches to it, in relation to the stated purpose of the book which is "to survey the various 'technical services' and to orient the student to the range of operations and techniques associated with the procurement, recording, preservation, and handling of library materials."
