摘要：M UCH has been written about machine information retrieval and about the reluctance of the library profession to seize upon it as a tool to solve at long last the "information problem." Everyone is deluged with the current flood of written information, librarians included. But the librarian is uniquely trained to organize, control, and disseminate this information. In doing so, he must use every tool at his command.
