摘要:IN a previous paper (1) it was pointed out that the Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) Library was interested in developing machine methods which, while serving the specific needs of its own situation, would also be easily adaptable to the needs of other medium-sized medical libraries. First endeavors were to be in the administrative portion of library routines; later it was hoped to branch out into literature storage and retrieval. This second paper will describe a relatively simple system devised for one library routine, circulation control, which is already in operation.
